In ice hockey contact is a huge part of the game; you really can't play without it but if you are not playing rep hockey you are NOT allowed to body check! This is understandable up until pee wee but once you are in pee wee you should be able to throw your weight around in both rep and house hockey.
Full contact really needs to be added to house hockey because currently the amount of contact you can make with another player is minimal at best (varying on the official that is reffing the game). It has come to the point where if you are fast and even just remotely good and handling the puck it is very easy to get around the defense because if you go outside inside the defense-man cannot just angle you off into the boards and or you just cut in because they can't make contact to stop you up.This would also really increase team play because those couple kids that are on your team that just skate up end to end without passing dangling the entire team would not be able to do this or they'd get out on their ass in a hurry; thus encouraging more team play. As a defense-man I would really like to be able to not just take those little kids that are crazy at stick handling in the corner hard into the boards and off the puck, I would also enjoy dropping the shoulder when players are receiving passes across the blue line. There was a perfect opportunity the other day that I had, we was looking backwards getting the pass, he was a bit shorter than me and off balance a little... I had him lined up and almost shed a tear knowing that this would end up being a terrible decision if I hit him; so all I could do was knock the puck away from him.
The downside to full contact would be that there are lots of people that are very bad at skating and or are quite small, which would lead to some big injuries. You would often have one or two kids in a game who just go out looking to hurt someone by hitting them as hard as they can whenever they are not prepared. Things like that would probably lead to a lot more fights of guys getting angry over a clean hit. Smaller kids would also look towards slashing because they can't hit the bigger guys.
Over all I believe that there are some problems with allowing contact but I think that it would make the game of house hockey so much better than it is now where people are getting penalties because they are bigger and stronger than other people; some guys have been getting penalties because their guy hit our guy and fell over when they were fighting for the puck, which is ridiculous.

The End of The World
Earlier today I went for a routine check up at the dentist, and after the one lady does that thing where she scrapes your teeth with that sharp metal object and then does whatever it is she does the new dentist enters the room to look at my teeth, and we begin to have a brief chat.
Dentist - Hello, how are you today?
Me - Pretty good thanks, you?
Dentist - Good, so what's new?
Me - Not too much.
Dentist - So... have you been playing the new Call of duty?
Now I sat there on the chair in disbelief that my freaking dentist asked me that, and I replied:
Me - Yessir, do you?
Thinking there is no way he will answer yes to this, I mean... he's a dentist.
Dentist -Yes I do, I have it for PC.
I couldn't believe that out of anything he could have asked me he asked that, and we had a brief conversation about it and then something led to talking about Super Mario and then he left. So my question to you is: Will video games end up destroying the lives of every person in the world over the next few years? Because quite frankly we had a discussion about CoD: MW2 and I never even caught his name.
